Q. What is the difference between PCB Wizard 3 Standard edition and PCB Wizard 3 Professional edition?

Q. Does PCB Wizard 3 link to Bright Spark and Livewire?
A. Yes. PCB Wizard 3 can open Bright Spark and Livewire circuit files and convert them into PCB layouts.
   
Q. Can PCB Wizard 3 simulate?
A. No. For circuit simulation you will require either Bright Spark, Livewire or our new flagship product Circuit Wizard.
   
Q. Can I add my own components or packages?
A. Yes. PCB Wizard 3.1 and later includes the ability to create your own components and packages. An update to the latest version is available here for existing PCB Wizard 3 users.
   
Q. Will you be adding more components?
A. Yes, we plan to add more components to PCB Wizard 3 and make them available free of charge in the Updates section of our website. If you let us know which components you would like to see, we will consider adding them in the future.
   
Q. What is the maximum permitted board size?
A. The maximum size of board that can be automatically generated is 10"x10", however there are no limitations (other than that imposed by your printer) for manually-placed boards. Also, there are no component or pin limitations in the software.
   
Q. Do you plan to do a Macintosh® version?
A. We have no plans to produce PCB Wizard for the Macintosh.

Q. How much does PCB Wizard 3 cost?
A. Please contact your local reseller for price information.
   
Q. How does your licensing work?
A. The Standard and Professional edition licenses allow the software to be installed and used on one computer by the licencee.
   
Q. Can I install the software on my laptop?
A. You may install it on your laptop only if the laptop is registered to you and you will be the only user of the software.
   
Q. Can the Standard edition be used at a school or college?
A. The Standard edition is not permitted to be used within a school or college. For single-user installations, the Education edition must be purchased.
   
Q. I have had to reformat my hard disk and my unlock code no longer works. What should I do?
A. You can contact us for a new unlock code. Please make sure you provide your existing product serial number.
