Q. Can Control Studio 2 generate a circuit diagram?
A. Yes. If you have Circuit Wizard, Livewire or PCB Wizard 3, Control Studio 2 can convert a systems circuit into a circuit diagram. In Circuit Wizard or Livewire, this circuit diagram can then be simulated.
   
Q. Can Control Studio 2 generate a PCB layout?
A. Yes. If you have Circuit Wizard or PCB Wizard 3, Control Studio 2 can convert a systems circuit into a circuit diagram which can then be converted into a PCB layout.
   
Q. Does Control Studio 2 include discrete components (circuit diagram symbols)?
A. No. To be able to draw discrete components and circuit diagrams requires Circuit Wizard, Livewire or PCB Wizard 3. Simulation of circuit diagrams requires Circuit Wizard or Livewire.
   
Q. Can I use Control Studio 2 with PCB Wizard 2?
A. No. You will require PCB Wizard 3.
   
Q. What subsystem blocks come with Control Studio 2?

Q. Do you plan to do a Macintosh® version?
A. We have no plans to produce Control Studio for the Macintosh.

Q. How much does Control Studio 2 cost?

Q. Will Control Studio 2 operate on my Windows® network?
A. Yes. Control Studio 2 has been designed to work with any Windows®-compatible network, including Research Machines Connect 2 and 3. A multi-user (5 users or above) version is required. Click here for more detailed information.
   
Q. How does your licensing work?
A. Single-user licenses allow the software to be installed and used on one computer. Multi-user licenses allow the software to be installed and used on the number of computers specified by the license. Multi-user licenses also allow the software to be used on a network provided that the maximum number of concurrent users does not exceed the number of computers specified by the license.
   
Q. We have a multi-user license of Control Studio 2. How do I control the number of concurrent users on my network?
A. Control Studio 2 has built-in concurrency control to stop users accessing the software when the maximum number of licenses has been exceeded. When installing the software on a network, you should visit Updates to ensure you have the last version.
   
Q. How do I extend my multi-user (5-user or more) version of Control Studio 2?
A. You can purchase 5-user extension licenses from your local reseller.
   
Q. I have purchased a single-user version of Control Studio 2. Can I put it on my PC and my portable computer?
A. Yes, as long as you are the only person who will be using the software.
   
Q. I have had to reformat my hard disk and my release code no longer works. What should I do?
A. You can contact us for a new release code. Please make sure you provide your serial number and the new signature code that is displayed on screen when you try to activate the software.
   
Q. Can Control Studio 2 be used at home by teachers?
A. Yes. A teacher may use Control Studio 2 at home for educational purposes so long as the teacher is employed by a licensed institution.
   
Q. Can Control Studio 2 be used at home by students?
A. Students are not permitted to use a school/college version at home. However, a special low-cost version is available that can be used at home.
   
Q. Does the license permit use of Control Studio 2 on a portable computer?
A. Only if the portable computer is owned by the licensee and is normally used at the postal address of the licensee.
