Q. How is Livewire different to Bright Spark?
A. Bright Spark is primarily aimed at customers with limited experience of electronics. Bright Spark can be viewed as a junior version of Livewire, which is a more sophisticated circuit simulator.
   
Q. What is the difference between Livewire Standard edition and Livewire Professional edition?
A. Please visit the Features section of our website for an explanation of the differences between editions.
   
Q. Can Livewire generate a PCB layout?
A. Yes. If you have PCB Wizard 3, Livewire can convert a circuit diagram into a PCB layout.
   
Q. What components does Livewire support?
A. Over 1500 analogue and digital components are available (500 in the Standard version). Click here for a full list.
   
Q. Can I add my own components?
A. No. However, you can let us know which components you would like to see, so that we can consider adding them to future versions of the software.
   
Q. Will you be adding more components?
A. Yes, we plan to add more simulation components to Livewire and make them available free of charge in the Updates section of our website. If you let us know which components you would like to see, we will consider adding them in the future.
   
Q. Do you plan to do a Macintosh® version?
A. We have no plans to produce Livewire for the Macintosh.

Q. How much does Livewire cost?
A. Please contact your local reseller for price information.
   
Q. How does your licensing work?
A. The Standard and Professional edition licenses allow the software to be installed and used on one computer by the licencee.
   
Q. Can I install the software on my laptop?
A. You may install it on your laptop only if the laptop is registered to you and you will be the only user of the software.
   
Q. Can the Standard edition be used at a school or college?
A. The Standard edition is not permitted to be used within a school or college. For single-user installations, the Education edition must be purchased.
   
Q. I have had to reformat my hard disk and my release code no longer works. What should I do?
A. You can contact us for a new release code. Please make sure you provide your serial number and the new signature code that is displayed on screen when you try to activate the software.
