Circuit
Wizard, Livewire and PCB Wizard 3 allow you to
create Bill of Materials
(BoM) reports that detail each component in your
circuit designs. |

By
default the Bill of Materials database is empty. |
|
For
more accurate information, a range of updated Bill
of Materials databases are
available for download below. |
|
To
update your Bill of Materials database you
will need to have Livewire 1.10 (or later),
PCB Wizard 3.10 (or later) or Circuit Wizard 1.00
(or later) on your computer. Existing Livewire
or PCB Wizard 3 users should click here to
update their software. No updates are required
for Circuit Wizard. |

component codes and prices given in the Bill
of Materials databases available for download
below should be used as a guide only. You should
always refer to the supplier for accurate and
up-to-date stock codes and pricing information.

How
to install a Bill of Materials database |
|
|
|
Download
the required database file. With Internet
Explorer, you can click the right
mouse button over the link
and
select
Save
Target
As. |
|
|
For
Livewire and PCB Wizard users: |
|
|
|
First
ensure that you have either Livewire 1.10 (or
later) and/or PCB Wizard 3.10 (or later) installed
on your computer. Updates are available for
existing users of Livewire or PCB Wizard 3.

|
Run
either Livewire or PCB Wizard 3 and choose Options from
the Tools menu. Click on the Database tab
and select Import from the
pop-up menu that appears when you click on
the Edit button. |

|
|
Using
the file browser, select the downloaded database
file. Click on the OK button in the Options window to accept the changes. |
|
|
|
|
Finally,
refresh any existing reports in your designs
by clicking the right mouse button over a report
and choosing Update from the Report menu. |
|

For
Circuit Wizard users: |
|
|
|
Run
Circuit Wizard and choose Bill of
Materials from
the Edit | Symbol
| Library menu.
Select Import from
the pop-up menu that appears when you click
on the Edit button. |
|
|
|
|
Using
the file browser, select the downloaded database
file. Click on the OK button
to
accept the changes. |
|
|
|
|
Finally,
refresh any existing reports in your designs
by clicking the right mouse button over a
report and choosing Update from
the Report menu. |
|
|
|
If
you have more than one product, you should
repeat these steps for each product
in turn. |
